At Buck, we are experts in fire. As America’s most trusted name in stoves—wood-burning, gas, pellet, ventless, or vented—we are dedicated to our small-town roots and the principle that American-made means the best materials and workmanship.
Our Story
With new leadership under Ron Carroll, Buck Stove continues its growth and local hiring while upholding the core values that made Buck America's most trusted name in fire. Having been part of Buck’s journey for over two decades as a salesman, Ron is well-acquainted with the intricate workings of the company.
Ron first experienced the pride of representing Buck Stove at a trade show in Atlanta in 2001. From the beginning, he felt the excitement of working for an American company committed to manufacturing in Spruce Pine, employing local workers, and sourcing materials close to home, even if it meant higher costs and more effort. “Quality, commitment to community, and American craftsmanship have always been our priorities at Buck. We will continue to uphold these values.”
Since Ron began his leadership in April, Buck Stove has added over twenty workers and new technical manufacturing equipment, boosting capacity and efficiency.
Ron acknowledges founder Robert Bailey's vision and hard work, which led to Buck's success and the move to their current 300,000 square foot facility on an 80-acre site in 2008. This site includes manufacturing, warehousing, and showrooms. Bailey will remain available to Ron through December to assist with the transition. Buck Stove is committed to its roots while continuing to innovate and improve.
During this period, Ron plans to gain valuable insights from Bailey while pushing for internal updates and streamlining. Both men are deeply committed to local development and quality of life in the community. Buck Stove is a respected and valued neighbor and employer.
As a former Marine, Ron looks for ways to support and honor veterans. He emphasizes that his door is always open, his plans are local, and Buck Stove is on a path of continued growth.
